The front door of one of the many, many beautiful Victorian homes in the Galveston Historic District.
Like so many of the homes in that neighborhood, pretty and impressive. But why then just show the front door?
The diamond shaped plaque to the left of the door marks his home is a survivor of the 1900 hurricane… and that plaque most probably marks the high water mark, at this location during that storm.
