Sometimes the small things in life are a big deal. Almost a  year ago, before we moved to Galveston we did a very major downsizing.  It turned out that the downsizing was not really hard at all… and 99.9% of the decisions that we made were the right ones for the long term. However, one of our very few mistakes was parting with the cool little cutting board that we had from Pampered Chef.  I missed that guy pretty much everyday… but am now happy to say we have a replacement.  To make it all the better… the replacement came from Buc-ees. A chain of gas stations with the very coolest convenience store ever… that are found across Texas. If you ever find your driving thru Texas take the time to check one out… you won’t be disappointed!

I think I have mentioned before that the view from our beach, at the foot of 69th St, is to the south and east. So, we don’t really get the classic “sun sinking into the sea” sunsets. But that doesn’t mean that our beach isn’t a pretty cool place to end a day.
